Dr. Gretchen Hoyle, M.D. - Medical Director

Dr. Hoyle has a special interest in pediatric and adolescent mental health. She has participated in supplemental training through the REACH Institute, an organization dedicated to ensuring that the most effective, scientifically proven mental health care reaches all children and families.
Dr. Hoyle grew up in Winston-Salem. She has two children. Her son, Wyatt, teaches math at Moffat County High School in Craig, Colorado. Her daughter, Caroline, is a student in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program at George Washington University in Washington, DC. In her free time, Dr. Hoyle likes to read, travel, and e-bike.

Jennifer Cleland Green, J.D. - Behavioral Health Care Manager

Jennifer grew up in Winston-Salem. After graduation from Reynolds High School, she attended UNC-Chapel Hill as an undergraduate, and then for law school, where she focused her studies on health care issues, children in the legal system, and public school funding.
During her years as a stay-at-home parent to four busy sons, Jennifer mentored many children, and volunteered in WSFC public schools and the community. In her free time, she enjoys live music, swimming, walking and hiking/camping, traveling whenever possible, and spending time with family and friends of all ages, from all walks of life.

Lauren Stokes - Operations Director
Education/Training:
Undergrad: North Carolina State University, BS Biology & Genetics, 1996
In addition to a varied history of professional and volunteer positions, Lauren has three children who are high school and college age. Lauren is responsible for connecting patients with Behavioral Health Providers, communicating with schools on behalf of patients, and identifying community resources for our patients with mental and behavioral health concerns.

Matthew Butterman - Director of Marketing and Communications


Matthew is a media and communications strategist, journalist, writer, and podcast host His projects often explore the intersection of storytelling, health, education, and culture.
He is the creator and host of Nimble Youth, a podcast that explores the emotional lives of children and adolescents through conversations with pediatricians, therapists, educators, and researchers. The podcast addresses topics such as anxiety, ADHD, academic pressure, digital life, and resilience, with the goal of helping families better understand the challenges facing children today.
A published writer, Matthew is currently working on his first novel, and a book about the history of bicycling in Washington, D.C., Spokes of the Capitol.
