Care that connects mind and body
Pediatric-led mental health support for young lives

Why MindBridge Behavioral Health Is Different
A Pediatrician-Led Approach to Behavioral Health
MindBridge Behavioral Health offers specialized mental health care for children, adolescents, and young adults — grounded in pediatrics and designed to bridge the gap between physical and mental health.
We believe lasting wellness comes from understanding the connections between mind, body, development, and family systems — and from partnering with patients over time.
Opening July 2026
MindBridge Behavioral Health will open in partnership with Privia Medical Group.
What Makes Our Model Unique
Integrated Behavioral Care

Longer Visits
MindBridge focuses exclusively on behavioral health, allowing for longer visits, deeper assessment, and meaningful follow-up. We are designing our physical space to be calming, warm, and inviting. Patients will not associate this environment with uncomfortable exams or procedures - an issue that poses challenges for mental health management in spaces designed only for general pediatrics.
We use evidence-based measurement tools to diagnose mental health conditions and track symptom scores over time. This process of Measurement Based Treatment to Target allows us to systematically evaluate the effectiveness of our interventions and tailor our treatment plan for each patient. Our goal is to help patients achieve remission of their symptoms and sustain their mental health through structured follow-up.
Measurement-Driven Care
Partnership, Not Replacement
MindBridge Behavioral Health does not provide well visits or sick care. Patients remain connected to their primary care provider, and we work collaboratively to support continuity of care.
Many mental health conditions in young people present with physical symptoms such as headaches, abdominal pain, fatigue, sleep disruption, or appetite changes. As a pediatrician, Dr. Gretchen Hoyle is trained to evaluate these symptoms - helping families understand when further medical work-up is needed and when treating the underlying mental health condition is most likely to improve both emotional and physical health.

Team-Based Support
For patients who need additional support, MindBridge offers the Psychiatric Collaborative Care Model, including Behavioral Health Care Managers and team-based engagement with our Psychiatric Consultant. These services include: extensive information gathering, educational advocacy, brief therapeutic interventions, and coordinating referrals to local therapists who provide specific mental health services.
Gretchen Hoyle, MD
Founder & Medical Director, MindBridge Behavioral Health
I have been in private pediatric practice since 2001. Over the course of my career, I have provided care for well visits, acute illness, and chronic conditions across all stages of childhood and adolescence.
Over the last decade, a major shift became impossible to ignore: mental health concerns were becoming a central part of pediatric primary care.
I have provided over 5,000 dedicated mental health visits for conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation, OCD, and related concerns.
This experience — combined with my long-term relationships with patients and families — led me to build something new.
Welcome to MindBridge Behavioral Health. It is our privilege to serve the Winston-Salem and Piedmont Triad communities.
